Is it safe?

Is it safe to come out now?

THE VACUUM

Oh gosh!
Deb’s about to wash,
Is it Wednesday?
Umm! Sometimes she washes,
On Mondays, don’t panic yet,
No Anne . . .
Don’t tell me it’s Wednesday?
Hang on maybe she’s tricking me,
Yikes she’s put on another load,
Please don’t be Wednesday?
Errh! That washing just sitting there,
Waiting, waiting for someone to come,
Oh who comes today?
Sharon?
Annette?
Anyone but Lyn,
It’s not Wednesday! It’s not Wednesday!
Oh no! Whose knocking?
Noooo! It’s Lyn,
Wait! Lyn comes on Tuesdays too,
It may not be Wednesday!
Ok, the washing’s out,
Now Deb’s in the shower,
That’s a good sign right?
Gulp! Now she’s having lunch,
The sheets are off the bed,
This doesn’t look good.
I’ll close my eyes,
And say the magic words,
It’s not Wednesday. It’s not!
No don’t open that cupboard,
That thing, THAT THING!
Lives in there.
The thing that has a long hose,
Like an elephant's trunk,
That sucks up lots of stuff,
Noooooo!
It is WEDNESDAY!
Quick drive under the bed,
No that suction thing goes under there,
Try the wardrobe,
Oh no Deb’s got that shut,
Don’t panic! Don’t panic!
Jump up on to the printer,
Behind the curtain,
And the computer screen,
Just to make sure,
I’m safe! I’m safe!
It may be Wednesday,
But I’ve made my escape!
