Slug

Small
Slimy
Creature

Leaving
Silver
Slim trail

On my
Lettuce leaves
Not happy!

Silver Letters

This small
slimy snail
has slid over
MY LETTUCE!
Oooh! Arrr!
Look, it has left
a slimy
Silver trail!

Little dots
are those dashes
I can’t quite see
I think they’re tiny silver letters.

My gosh!
That slug
who got under your skin
Has left you a letter.

I wonder what
the slippery slimy thing
had to say
Dear

May be the slug
left you
a thank you note
he enjoyed your lettuce.

Errh! small
Slimy things
Should leave my
Lettuce leaves alone!

Don’t be like that
He left you
A silver lettered
Thank you note!

Secrets of Scottie Slug

Ssh, Ok!
I am going to tell you
all about Scottie Slug.

That slippery, slimy slug
that slid silver slim
over my lettuce.

I know that he
slips and he slimes
by the light of the silver moon.

I know as
I slipped out
last night.

Scottie was
slipping and sliding
and smiting about.

You could hear
small, silly, squeaky
screams of delight.

In front of his
silly, snotty, slimy
slug friends.

Having a special feast
were these small, slimy, slugs
ON MY LETTUCE!

Again this morning
There is the slimy
Thank you in SILVER LETTERS!

Too hot!

Its too hot for Scottie Slug
Today,
He’d be worried, that he
Would sizzle in the
Scorching summer sun.

So Scottie Slug
Stayed in a soothing puddle
of water instead.
My leafy lettuces were safe,
at least for now.

A note from Scottie Slug

Hey Deb!
I know I’ve been a naughty slug
Spread slippery, silver slim,
On your prized lettuce leaves.

Just that it's,
So much fun,
Slipping and sliding,
Down the leaves.

Its like a giant slippery slide,
Sliding down I have to scream,
It’s the scaling up again,
That’s not much fun.

Oh yeah! About that party,
The other night,
It really wasn’t planned,
Spare of a moment thing.

I had no idea my friends
Would come and eat the leaves,
I may leave my silver slime,
Spread under the silver moon.

But I would never be seen,
Sobbing over you lettuce leaves,
All I wanted was some slimy fun,
With several of my friends.

I sign this letter,
On your lettuce leaf,
Scottie Slug,
In silver letters once again.

Silver Slug Poetry
was a MoP # project

Scottie Slug is Sloshed
Poor Scottie Slug is —
Scottie this morning to say the least
Someone left a half peeled orange
Filled with beer in the veggie patch last night —
Slurp! Burp!
Scottie Slug is sloshed!
Feeling very seedy —
Who would do such a stupid thing?

On the nose!

Smelly, stinky pooh
Something in veggie patch
Is rotten through and through

Scottie slid along the rows
Searching out source smelly smells
That offended ─ his slugie nose

Surprised when he discovers
Someone’s stinky smelly dirty socks
Such smells ─ would he recover?

Needless to say Scottie may
Kept his slippy, silver slim
Away from Deb’s lettuce that day

Oh No!

Scottie was sliding along in the soggy soil
and suddenly stumbled on squash
somebody switched Deb’s lettuce for squash
can’t scribble silver slim letters on small squash!

Scottie’s Revenge

Scottie was strolling along and
stumbled on a silver pen planted
in Deb’s veggie patch

still feeling startled by the
switch to squash crop
discovering a pen, Scottie thought —

stimulated by sudden delights
deciding to slurp his slime into
the empty pen case

so he screwed open the case
to release the ink — and
sank his slippery slime in

after securing his pooey-gooey slime
he scurried towards a prized squash
armed with ammo to strike his target

started to scribble his silver slime
thanks silly billy for dropping your pen
so I can still write my silver slime notes.

and cheeky Scottie slug
signed his name in pooey-gooey —
slug slime
